MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF CHARGE AIR COOLERS, SHELL AND TUBE HEAT EXCHANGERS AND BOX COOLERS
In addition to cleaning, our standard maintenance and repair programme (overhaul) for air coolers, shell and tube heat exchangers and box coolers comprises the following work (depending on the heat exchanger’s condition):
• Disassembly, cleaning, repair and assembly of covers
• Installation of new gaskets
• Replacement of nuts and bolts
• Application of a new coat of paint
• Pressure testing
• Threading and wire-brushing of tube plates
• Maintenance report
Optional, we can also take care of the following activities:
• Replacement of zinc anodes
• Replacement of side plates
• Application of coating
• Installation of new profiles
• Tube-by-tube testing
• Plugging of leaking tubes
• Replacement of faulty tubes or tube bundles (re-tubing)
SERVICING AND REPAIR OF PLATE HEAT EXCHANGERS
Besides handling the cleaning, maintenance and repair of air coolers, shell and tube heat exchangers and box coolers, we can also repair plate heat exchangers. After disassembling and cleaning the plates, we meticulously check them for hairline cracks (with the help of crack tests). This check makes use of a penetrating liquid, which lights up under UV light. Any plates that are found faulty during this test are replaced. We then install new gaskets, after which we reassemble the various components. Finally, we subject the plate heat exchanger to pressure testing – to make sure that it has no leaks of any kind. After this, the device is ready to be taken back into operation.
