REGULAR CLEANING PREVENTS REDUCING COOLING CAPACITY
While shell and tube heat exchangers are often used for the cooling or heating of oil and/or water, this design is also used in a number of other applications. Over time, the tube bundles in this heat exchanger type may suffer a build-up of scale and sediments that can dramatically reduce the heat exchanger’s cooling capacity. CP Heat Exchanger Technologies has all the facilities and technical expertise required to effectively clean, service and – where necessary – repair this type of heat exchanger.
CHEMICAL AND ULTRASONIC CLEANING OF SHELL AND TUBE HEAT EXCHANGERS
To efficiently clean a shell and tube heat exchanger, we use a combination of ultrasonic and chemical cleaning methods. This allows us to remove every imaginable oil or lubricant residue from the tubes, as well as scale – returning the shell and tube heat exchanger to peak performance.
SERVICING AND REPAIR OF SHELL AND TUBE HEAT EXCHANGERS
Is your shell and tube heat exchanger not working as intended, or has it sprung a leak? We can test the device, tube by tube, to determine what’s causing the issue. We can either replace or plug broken tubes or tube bundles, so that the shell and tube heat exchanger can be taken into operation again. During a complete overhaul of a heat exchanger, we will also renew the device’s nuts and bolts, fit the shell and tube heat exchanger with new gaskets and profiles and add a fresh coat of paint.
